Overview of the ASUU Meeting at UNN

Today, February 1, 2023, the Academic Union of Universities (ASUU) hosted a conference at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

The gathering took place in the FOSSA Hall, the ASUU branch, and Marlima. As soon as it started, it ended exactly at 3 o’clock.

If you recall, the company went on an eight-month-long, indefinite strike.

Recall that they were not paid their monthly salary for the strike period when they returned to the offices and classrooms. The fact that every attempt to convince and coerce the government to redeem those wages failed is now common knowledge.

The students who encountered them during their brief encounter appeared to be so terrified by the idea that they may be considering staging a new nationwide strike.

Since the board has not yet issued a formal statement, fingers are still crossed. Hopefully, it will not be heartbreaking.
