UNN Awards The Best Graduate In The Faculty of Dentistry With N50,000

Miss Valentina Ebisike who emerged as the overall best graduating student in the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Nigeria (UNN) has been awarded N50,000 by the university.

The presentation of the award was done during the induction and swearing-in ceremony of the 2021graduating class in the university’s college of medicine at Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu on Thursday, where the dean, the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Felix Chukwuneke said the cash award was to motivate and encourage academic excellence amongst students.

He added that the academic excellence achieved by Miss Valentina Ebisike should be applauded by all lovers of excellence, hard work, and diligence, adding that with the award, the institution hopes to inspire other students to make excellence their primary objective as they go through the university.

He also added that some of the graduates with a good academic performances would also be considered for direct employment which has been in existence in the faculty.

Also, during his speech, he urged the graduands to make the care and health of patients their primary concern and practice medicine safely and effectively by being well informed about their patients before making decisions or taking actions that may affect them.
